To those who served our country

The Vine Street Hill Cemetery has respectfully reserved a section of the cemetery for Veterans and their spouses. Entering through the Mitchell Avenue gates, the rolling hill on your right was dedicated in 1990 as Veteran’s Hill. There are currently 914 Veterans laid to rest on its slope.

In appreciation of the service of these men and women, the Vine Street Hill Cemetery has given consideration to the pricing of the graves for both the Veteran and their spouse. Our staff is also able to help you with navigating other government benefits which may be available to your loved one here at the cemetery. When meeting with our staff, having a copy of veteran’s DD214 – discharge papers will be necessary.

Thinking ahead? The Vine Street Hill Cemetery can help you with reserving your preneed space on Veteran’s Hill. Our staff will walk you through the process of ordering your loved one’s memorial. With the DD214 we can answer questions about acceptable symbols and verbiage per the government’s established guidelines.

The burial flag and Presidential Certificate

All honorably discharged Veterans are entitled to a US flag to be provided to the family. We can assist with these arrangements as well as ordering the Presidential Certificate of Service. Our staff is here to ensure the ceremony is a time of honored remembrance.
